Enroute 4.1 upgrade

Hey all Enroute users. The new release of Enroute 4.1 is now available. Installed it last week as an upgrade from 4.0. Better drawing tools like preceision mirror and rotate. Also better circle and ellipse tools. If Scanvec keeps up the good work I will be able to ditch all of my other drawing programs and just use Enroute as a comprehensive CAD/CAM package. Thanks all of you programers at Enroute and Scanvec Amiable!!! Keep up the good work. I can't wait for what you come up with next.

We have version 4.0. Do you know if 4.1 is a free upgrade and if so where do you download it?

Hello EnRoute Customers,

SAi is happy to announce the release of EnRoute 4.1! EnRoute 4.1 is an update from EnRoute 4.0 that has lots of fixes and improvements. Some of the highlights are:
Drawing Tools Redone – The Rectangle, Circle, Ellipse and Arc tools were redesigned and improved.
Transform Tools Redone – The Move, Scale, Rotate and Mirror tools were redesigned and improved.
The STL import and redrawing has been improved.
Channel Tag was added to Island Fill.
Toolpath Ordering Preferences Improved.
BackPlot, a stand-alone program for viewing GCode output has been added to allow for verification of the toolpath after the output file has been created.
And much more!
For a complete list of what has changed, view the EnRoute 4.1 readme file that installs with the new version. Or contact us at enroute@saintl.biz to receive a copy.

Important Notice: EnRoute 4.1 requires a black SuperPro key to work.

Here’s the “lowdown” on how to get EnRoute 4.1 and a new key if you need one:
If you have EnRoute 3……
You have to upgrade to use EnRoute 4.1. Please contact your dealer or EJ Nodurft ej@saintl.biz to find out how much it would be to upgrade. You will be sent a new key as part of the upgrade, which will be necessary to run EnRoute 4.1. You will be required to send back your old key once you get the new one. An RMA number will be provided along with info about how to return your old key when you receive the new one. The new key has a temporary password. A full password will be sent once the old key has been returned.
If you have EnRoute 4, but are using an old key…….
You need to contact your dealer or SAi directly orders@saintl.biz to issue an order to replace your existing key (include the key number) with the new SuperPro key and to request a new EnRoute 4.1 password as well. There is no charge for the update, but there is a $50 charge for the key replacement. You will be required to send back your old key once you get the new one. An RMA number will be provided along with info about how to return your old key when you receive the new one. The new key has a temporary password. A full password will be sent once the old key has been returned. To get the 4.1 install, you can download it to the link below or request to be sent a CD be included with your key for $10.
If you have EnRoute 4.0 and you already have a black SuperPro key……
You need to contact your dealer or SAi directly orders@saintl.biz to issue an order to request a new EnRoute 4.1 password to replace your EnRoute 4.0 password. To get the 4.1 install, you can download it to the link below or request to be sent a CD for $10 plus shipping.

New Activation Procedure
Part of the new security system is that new keys will have to be activated. This will allow us to better communicate when things like new releases come out. The installation process is the same as before, but when EnRoute is first run, an Activation window will appear. If the PC is connected to the internet, clicking the Activate Now button will automatically open up the Registration Page where the information can be entered. After entering the information, an email will be sent to the customer with the Activation Code, which can then be entered. Or the user can choose Activate Later and then complete the process at a later time by going to www.saintl.biz/reg. The information necessary to Activate the key is shown at the bottom of the Activation window.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will I still be able to run EnRoute version 3 or 4 if I go to 4.1?
If you had version 3 or 4 and would still be able to run older versions, you can do that. Just make sure to indicate that you would like to be able to run the older versions from your old key on your new key when you place your new key and/or upgrade order. The older passwords will need to be added. Also, if you have version 4 and you want to be able to run the older EnRoute 4, make sure to install EnRoute 4.1 to a new folder and not over top of your old folder when installing EnRoute 4.1.

Is EnRoute 4.1 Vista Compatible?
Yes, EnRoute 4.1 is Window’s Vista compatible.

Will EnRoute 4.1 run on Window Vista or XP 64-bit?
Yes, EnRoute 4.1 will run on Windows Vista and XP 64-bit.

Why do I have to pay $50 for a new key?
EnRoute software does not have yearly maintenance fees or frequent upgrades. In fact, after EnRoute was first released, there were multiple no-charge updates released over a seven year period. So when it comes to charges after the sale, we have a pretty good program. But it was necessary for us to switch to a new security system to better protect your investment and to be able to provide new types of capabilities such server keys and keyless systems, which are projects that we are working on. It’s a course of action we have to take to best serve our customers and to remain competitive in the market.

Does this version contain the new DXF and DWG Import filters?
Although we have joined a group that will allow us to offer the very latest support for 2D DXF and DWG files, we are still working on implementing the new import files into EnRoute. Adding this is a very high priority and we expect to be able to include it on a release later this year.

Is the EnRoute 4 Training CD done?
The EnRoute 4 Training DVD has been updated with new movies that show the new design tools of EnRoute 4 software. This DVD covers the Basic and Plus versions of EnRoute and includes a section on ATP. The cost of the training CD is $349. An EnRoute Pro training CD is currently in the works.
