No Enroute users out there?

Yes, kind of. Currently a simple mask can't be applied as to add to a relief. but with a little though, and for now, time, neat stuff can be cut. I cut a couple of boards today and will post pictures tommorow afternoon. I'll state some stats. as far as time to cut and such

Tom, no problem with a mask. ??? Simply rapid text isn't easily trimed or "masked" to provide texture inside of a region. Or is there.. Tom?

Is this what you are trying to accomplish, where the textured area is masked to allow it to be applied to the recessed background as shown in the attached example??

Tom, I appreciate your wanting to help solve a problem. At this time there isn't one. The dicussion was about rapid texture. But while you are here, how would you "attach" a texture achieved with rapid texture to a relief drawing, like the example attached?

Masking with Rapid Texture applied to inset background is the same as using any other mask in Enroute. Is the attached what you are looking to do??

Does anyone know how to get enroute 4 pro?

I'm interested in its rapidtexture tool, I have contacted SA International last week but no replies from them yet. How is their support if you purchase their software? Is it good?

Need more information about the software please.

Yes, the software is good. Very good, it works somewhat different from metal milling programs, which is where I came to this from. They may take some time to get to you but call the telephone line, the email method may take longer.

The support is good at Enroute. I dealt with a fellow by the name of Tim Hopkins recently, regarding setting up enroute on a 64 bit system so that I could use more RAM. It took some time, but he stuck with it.

Enroute has some pretty intuitive tools as well as the numerical stuff normally associated with CAD. The learning curve is quick.

I would note that as with other SAi products, they don't approach vector editing in the same way as mainstream editing, and this takes some getting used to.
