Default Enroute with AXYZ Series 8012 Router

We are a sign shop here in NC. I am the Senior CAD Designer trying to do a little research. I am a CAD guy not generally a CAM guy, so please bear with me and my little understanding of the matter.

We have an AXYZ Series 8012 router that does the bulk of our cutting and a Multi-Cam across the street in that does the rest. The Multi-Cam uses Enroute (We are on version 5.1). The AXYZ Series 8012 uses Toolpath for Windows which is a TERRIBLE and slow method compared to the Enroute enabled machine. We currently do not have a service contract with AXYZ, so they will not answer a single question. Currently I just use Enroute to process the DXF to import into Toolpath and hate that method.

All I want to know is...can I use Enroute to directly run the AXYZ Series 8012? Or do I have to use it to solely generate the NC Code and then bring that into Toolpath? Is all I need is a post processor to help with the matter?

Please help! PM or answer here!

Not familiar with Enroute or Toolpath, but generally, no, CAM software does not control the machine. I suspect the multiCAM has it's own control that accepts the g-code from Enroute, and Enroute is not actually controlling the MultiCAM.

Yes, with a proper post processor, it should be as simple as loading the Enroute produced g-code into Toolpath.
