Just when you think you have everything figured out, someone mentions 2.5D cutting. What does that mean anyway?

2.5D cutting, also known as 3D Engraving, is toolpathing that is done based on the angle or radius of a bit allowing for better cleanout and more detail. Because the bit tapers to an increasingly smaller diameter, 2.5D toolpathing allows you to cut things that might not be practical with 2D cutting, which is particularly helpful with small text and graphics.
