Looking for some insight from anyone who has updated from 3.3 to the current version. Is it 4.1? Trying to sell my boss on the upgrade. Any help would be appreciated. My interest is mostly with the 3D aspects but word on any improvements you see would help. Thanks. |

I'm a big user of the 3D applications of EnRoute. Version 4 was big. The render engine was totally redone. This means with a decent computer the redraws as you zoom in or out are instant. Not at all like version 3 and worth the price of an upgrade all by itself. There are many new tools in EnRoute 4. The parametric textures are awesome. Then there is rapid texture which allows you to do some very cool textures in minutes instead of hours. The photo texture (not sure if that is what it is called) is awesome too. If you want to see the 3D things I do on a daily basis with this software check out the blog I write for EnRoute. I guarantee it will keep you busy for an hour or two - and convince you of the upgrade. www.enrouteadventures.blogspot.com -dan Last edited by Dan Sawatzky; 03-28-2011 at 12:20 AM.
