Building plans for floating head

I want to build my own floating head engraving spindle-nose

Does anybody know a site where i can find detailled building plans and/or instructions to build this myself?

I have not seen such plans

A "typical" engraving spindle mounted to the motion guide ways by means of a multi- bar linkage should do the trick. A polyurethane drive belt from drive motor to spindle meeting the flexibility requirement.

The graver tip then must be regulated to extend beyond the rubbing guide nose the desired amount.

If I recall correctly, the floating function of the referenced spindle was accomplished by means of a spring loaded engraver tool holder. The tools are about 160 mm in length, and are mounted in the thru spindle at the top. either a solid threaded clamp for non floating applications, or a spring loaded clamp for floating work can be fitted.

You will need to read through the literature/ parts list for details, my memory gets fuzzy with the passing years.
