I have a V-engraver here. It has a 30 deg "Total Included Angle", which means that the pitch is 15 deg from the axis, and a 0.006" tip radius (woo-hoo sharp!). MeshCam has no V-engraver option, but by defining it as an Endmill with 0.006" radius and an angle seems to give it the right idea. That's weird that it categorizes angled cutters as endmills but if that's the way it wants to play well fine. My question is, what does MeshCam mean by "angle"? Do I give it 15 deg or 30 deg for this bit? |
