Hi all, I'd like to give this solution a try and wanted to know what type/brand you use to get a nice rich dark black color engraving? Some of the examples I've seen are more "gray" in color and don't look very "professional". Thanks for your input- ![]() Dave

| The product I recall using years ago was called "Gravoxide" IIRC (engraving oxide). Turns it black. These are based on selenium. Gun bluing (easily available from Academy Sports or whatever) contains selenium and seems to have the same effect. |

| I actually tried the Hoppes brand of blueing but it didn't get black, it was more of a brown so I should probably give the gravoxide a shot as it's made just for this specific process. Thanks- Dave
