Anybody running EMC2 with Image to G-Code? I was justing looking at some of the work done with it on a 3 axis router, and was totally blown away. Its a 695 Meg download, and as near as I can tell its Linux based, but it may be worth setting up and dedicating a Linux box to run it. http://lumenlab.com/2008/10/pumpkin/ |

| Image to G-Code with EMC2. I downloaded and burned a CD, and I am at a loss. The OS loads and runs fine, and the EMC2 files are all intact, but I don't understand how to use the Image to G-Code program. When I looked at the refferences it looks like a command line program. ie: program paramater data output Is that correct or am I missing something? |

Axis is one of the GUI options in EMC2. I think it defaults to TkEMC. Look under the [DISPLAY] section of your .ini file. Not at a Linux box right now, but [FILTER] should be another section in your ini. You can just add in it in, but I don't recall what else is under that section. Perhaps someone else can shime in. |

| Again, not near a Linux box. I will try my best from memory. If you have installed Ubuntu and EMC2, and have started EMC2 and saved a configuration at the "Copy COnfiguration?" prompt, you should find all your configuration files from your main menu PLACES, HOME FOLDER/EMC2/CONFIGS. If you chose BOSS or say STEPPER configuration, the ini would be BOSS.ini or STEPPER.ini. Hopefully someone logging in on Linux or has a better memory can chime in. |
