Newbie- Just got a new hermes Vanguard 7000

Hello Everyone,

I am new here and this is my first post. I don't have any idea if I am doing it right. I got Simple CNC from jeff Roark and he referred me to this forum thinking I would find someone that does engraving.

I am retired and this is going to be an addition to my hobby which is repairing and designing watches. I got the 7000 at a good deal and want to engrave on new watch dials.

I have no idea about this machine only it is a 1994 and I have been told that is hard to wear it out.

What I think my first problem is I do not have a driver for the parallel port and the other thing is I know nothing about how to set it up.
