    PCB graving project

    Hello,

This forum is huge and I am not sure I am able to find what I need by myself.
I am willing to come in CNC world for PCB graving.
I would like to realize a 2D 1/2 or 3D CNC to produce boards up to A4 sheet size and smd footprint pitch down to 0.2 or 0.1mm. Automatic drill would be a good extra too.
I am an electronic engineer and my limitations may be more in mechanic skills. I would like to spend less than 300$-400$.
    Is it possible ?
My starting point is software : I do not want to make my own one, so is there free CNC driver which take standard PCB CAO outputs ?

Thanks a lot for your answer(s)

    Best regards,

    P.P.

    Hello P.P.
Welcome to CNC Zone. If I were you I would take a good look at a thread here from "epineh" He has taken a brand new $150 colour printer and converted it to print directly onto un-printed circut board. Once the work is placed into the acid, the copper get's disolved away everywhere but where the printer placed the ink. I have personally seen the boards that epineh has produced and they are absolutley perfect. Have a look at his thread. Hacking A Printer To Directly Print PCB's

    Enjoy,
    Chich

Thanks for your fast answer but I do not want to use chemicals at all for several reason :
    - No dangerous & dirty manipulation
    - No dangerous stock and waste
    - My girlfriend will not accept chemicals (dirt, smell) at home

And maybe if I am satisfied with CNC for PCB I will upgrade to build 3D mechanical pieces or other engraving

    Thanks again
