Hold-Down Mat for very small items

Hello, does anyone have a suggestion for a tack mat to use for very tiny engraved items (1"-2")?

We currently have a couple of Roland EGX-30's. We purchased another used one about a month ago, and it had this fantastic white mat on the engraving table. No slipping, flipping, etc. The problem is, it gets worn after only a couple days, and I don't know where to purchase any more. I can't find it anywhere!

The mat is about 1mm thick. It's not sticky, but it sticks to itself. It's sort of a foam-type material. If anyone knows where I can find more of this stuff, please contact me.

Also, we've tried other options, the multi-mat, for example. This definitely did not work for us.

Any other suggestions out there as to what other folks use to keep their tiny engraved items held down, I'm all ears!

Thank you in advance.
Jen

You might be able to use double stick tape, like for holding carpet in place. I've had fair luck with that and I've done the plastic tags with another type tape that only has adhesive after you pull the backing off.

For higher volume production how about a vacuum table?
