That is really impressive!! What kind of press was used to stamp this? Will you be doing precious metals also? 50 yrs ago I worked on a percussion stamping press for a guy who made Silver and gold commemorative coins. His hobs were made on a pantograph. What a different world it is. |

| Don't believe everything you read over at wikipedia, I read an article that a guy found out how to trace the edits that are made on wikipedia back to the editors IP address, he found that a few corporate IP address were changing things on the site, one of them was about the Exxon Valdez, & how that area had the best fishing in years (Mmmm oil) ![]() Wikipedia is ok, most articles are only opinion (but then, what isn't)? . |

| I think this is way too scarry. The North American Union is NOT a rumor but in fact an agreement moving forward under our illustrious President, mexico, and canada. I think the work on this coin is teriffic work but why was it done in the 1st place? Who really commissioned it? Or is just a total coincidence? Need more info? Just google north american union and get a wake up call of your very own.

| Check the web or google more on this North american union. Its NOT a hoax and it is quite scarry but its happening. Nice coin and design but is it really just a fantasy? I think not for long. Was this commissioned or just a total coincidence? HUMMM?? As reported now several times this agreement exists, was never voted on, and is moving forward. All part of a global design consolidation so keep your eyes open on this one.

| This is not a "commissioned" work. I conceived, designed, sculpted, and engraved it myself. In addition to developing the VS3D software, I like to make interesting coins and medals. This is sort of a "what if ?" fantasy piece (there are collectors who specialize in things like this). The coin is my work, but the proposals for a Union of North America are not. I have no association with the people behind that. Here is the best write up about the whole affair: http://www.geocities.com/erik_mccrea/linksUV.html

I've already done some in silver. I'm planning an issue of five different copper sizes from 25mm to 38mm, three silver sizes, and two gold sizes. There will be five different (but similar) designs in all. Here is the 38mm silver:
