*Not sure if this is the right forum but this maching touts itself as an engraver* The head of operations where I work wanted me to research this machine. It's an engraver\router that will cut sheet metal (not thick stuff of course). So now I'm confused. I thought it was a no-no to route metals. The reason a machine like this is of interest to us is to cut steel and aluminum sheets (.125" thick max). That way we reduce the amount of precut material in inventory. http://www.q1engravers.com/quest_engravers.htm Specifically, 2424 or 2448 Questions: 1) What separates this or machines like it from CNC routers\mills? 2) What other machines are out there that are like this one (engraver or CNC router)? Thanks, Frank |
