anybody?
I purchased one of the Chinese lasers off of Ebay and have been working with it. So far it's not bad but I've noticed alot of flaws. The first thing being lighting. I fixed this buy installing an RGB LED light strip at the top and this helped tremendously. The next thing I noticed is the Moshidraw that comes with the laser cutter didn't work and found a link for the most recent version... It still sucks. I havn't figured out how to move files from Corel Draw v6 to Moshidraw. The next problem/ opportunity that I notices is the laser is a bit slow and noisy. Also anything I cut seems to almost be pixelated or non rounded.
Any help/ suggestions would be much appreciated.
anybody?
Your questions are way too vague to answer. If you clarify a bit you may get more help.
Moshidraw is know to suck "the big one." I suggest you swap the controller with something that runs lasercut. I do not know Moshidraw at all, but it doesn't take much research to figure out the general view of moshi is not good at all.
Your laser was purchased off ebay with a moshidraw controller. It is extremely far from a quality product and the price you paid reflects that. You are going to have to put a bit of work into the laser to get it to cut good, it's just the way it has to be. To do so you really need to be proficient with how the laser cutter actually works, otherwise you have no idea what questions to ask and the guys who may feel like helping you skip over in frustration.
So, if you have not already done so you should read up on how these machines function. I suggest rabbit laser USA's website, there are lots of useful manuals and tips on that site. I believe they cover stuff like belt tension adjustment, laser alignment, software settings, etc... All have a big impact on the quality of your cuts.
It is beyond a doubt impossible to say why your laser cuts as it does using only the info you have provided so far. Steppers (which your laser uses for motion) are known to be noisy to an extent.
Sorry for the real lack of anything useful in this post. I would like to help, and I hope you don't think of me as a jerk for explaining why I can't!
