| The set up procedure for Mach3 is set out in both the manual and the settup instructions available for down load on the Artsoft website. You need to start with low values of speed and acceleration. If you demand too much torque from the motors they stall and you get a nasty buzz. It is also necessary to have some load on the motor as they don't necessarily like running unloaded at certain speeds. You also need to take into account that the use of micro-stepping drastically reduces the available torque so try and use full step if possible with gearing if you are looking for high accelerations and traverse speeds. Try the set up procedures in the manual as this may sort out your problem if not then post the results of following the set up . Hope this is enough to get you going - Regards - Pat |
