IS400 Z Ref Not Working, Please Help.

I recently purchased a used 2006 model IS400 Volume. The person I bought it from claims it was hardley used and she didn't know much about it. This was evident by all of the broken bits.

I previously owned a 2002 Hermes IS400 and am familiar with how the settings are used. I never had a problem with the old unit.

When I setup a project to be engraved i set the dimensions, the margins and the Z-ref. Normally the project would begin and the chuck would raise and lower based on the lettering or the image. With this newer unit the chuck never moves. I can set the Z but after that it's like it's broken and never touches the material. It does act like it's engraving but nothing more.

The unit is a 2006 IS 400 Volume, USB, running GravoStyle 5 Lite. Perhaps the machine is not configured properly and I'm missing a setting.

I hope someone has an idea as to what the problem may be.
