    Default vanguard 3400

I have a vanguard 3400 with a broken limit switch that stops the carriage assembly moving left when powering on. Is their a way of backing up the carriage assembly so I can replace the limit switch. Am afraid to turn it on because it keeps trying to go left.

You can wire the limit on the exterior, trip it by hand immediately as required for your home cycle, then back it off with the controller. Or when unpowered, push the carriage really hard to move it off (depends on how well it's moving these days).
