Default DJ3020T Engraver stepper motor wiring

Hi, not sure if this is the correct place but can anyone tell me the wire config of these stepper motors

    I have:

    Red
    Green
    Blue
    Yellow

    I need to match up A+ A- B+ B-

think Red and green are a pair and yellow and blue are a pair

    Thanks
    Paul

If you can't find info on the model number of the stepper, you'll need to use a multi meter to find the pairs which will be low ohms, and non-pairs obviously will be open circuit.

It won't matter which way you hook up the pairs to the driver once you find the pairs, it will either work or not and won't cause any damage to the driver. If it doesn't work just swap one pair over and test again.

But, whatever you do, DO NOT disconnect the steppers with power applied, this will usually blow most drivers. Power off the driver and wait a few moments before changing wires.

    cheers, Ian

    It's a state of mind!

4 wire configuration is the easiest to resolve. Separate the 4 wires so none are touching one another. If you rotate motor shaft you should feel no resistance. Connect any two wires together until you get a pair that prevents the shaft from rotating. The pair that does this will be "A or B" and the remaining two wires will have the same effect on the shaft when connected and these will be "B ..,or A"!
Don't worry about "A or B or + or -. Connect the two separate pairs to your driver and fire them up. If they initially travel in the wrong direction just reverse the + and - wires of just ONE set, either A or B! You should then find that your motor is turning in the direction anticipated. Peale
