Will cut linear rods a bit shorter

I use compressed air too blow chips while cutting so I incorporated it into engraving head too keep nose clean,(small hole left of nose)

Very happy with results , no more nice depth one end too deep or miss the other.

    Hi Riche,

Found your post searching for a solution to my engraving problems. Would you be willing to share the drawings for your engraving nose, While the images are a brilliant insight to the construction, the dimensions would be most helpful. I also have a Kress router fitted to my CNC.
I hope you don't mind me asking, I apologize if it seems rather rude to do so. I have researched for myself but there is very little to find.
    Kind regards
    Joe Lavery.

    Hi Riche,

The DXF's would be brilliant, I would be very grateful.

My email is joe@joelavery.com, or joe.lavery@pcpilot.net

I write for PC Pilot magazine here in the UK. and I've built a 737 cockpit in my home, which was documented in the mag. The CNC machine was very useful in fabricating parts, but as I'm sure you already know quite problematic when it comes to engraving.

Other than that I'm not sure where our paths might have crossed.??

If I don't here from you over the weekend I'll do as you ask and drop you a line. ))
    Cheers

    Joe.

    Hey joe
Lol small world I'm also into cockpit building, I'm making parts for a few vendors out there , but only little bits here & there, & still perfecting things. I wrote on mycockpit.org about my cnc build under same name riche543. Got the idea for engraving nose off few guys on mycockpit. But yes remind me again , as if I'm in the workshop I will send them straight away.
    Cheers
    Riche.

Indeed a small world, one of my best mates Gwyn (Westozy) lives in Perth and came to stay with me last year with his wife. He's responsible for getting me into CNC.
Of course as a cockpit builder you would no doubt have seen my advert for 737 style clocks.

It's nice when people appreciate all the work that's gone into a project.

    Cheers
    Joe.

Yeah spoken with Gwyn few times , he actually sent me some software for making gears / cogs. Nice those clocks, did you make them?.
Will dig those dxfs out for you , I didn't really document everything about the head but I will send you a pic of what I basically copied for mine.
    Cheers
    Riche.
