| So where is the subscription page? I have dabbled in a few sites that charged a small fee per each job bid. They yielded nothing, but I didn't spend much, it was like $5 to bid on this job $7 to bid on this job etc, etc. Those sites are now gone. I think sites that allow you to just spend a little to try them out are the only ones with a hope of succeeding. I still don't understand how MFGQuote stays alive, there is bad press about them all over the internet. The contract auction guy isn't looking too good either, as he has a live thread and isn't responding. He has made 3 identical posts and not responded to any questions, probably an ex MFGQuote, First Index or Source Authority employee trying to use the same business model to scam people. |

| Thank you for all the questions and giving the website a look, I would be skeptical as well if a site were offering for free what others feel the need to charge hundreds or even thousands for every year. Registration can be found on the homepage, simply sign up as a job poster or job bidder depending on what you plan on doing, you can create a company profile once registered, and begin bidding, and posting jobs for free. Contract Auction offers access to all the necessary site features with the free subscriptions. Contract Auction was born out of frustration from the lack of a good solution for purchasers and manufacturers to get connected without fees. |

I run a site called www.qualifiedvendor.com. In response to the threads above, we are similar to mfgquote, but we restrict access to 5 suppliers. Mfgquote has cannibalized thier brand by overselling subscriptions to pools of RFQs. I get calls from past customers who told me they would routinely bid with 50-70 other suppliers. At that point it effectively becomes a reverse auction. Also, as a former mechanical design engineer, I never needed more than 5 quotes. Mfgquote has found a loyal following though with overseas suppliers who have little or no access to domestic RFQs, but they have all but destroyed their brand domestically. When you google them, the third or fourth link is from a supplier putting together a class action law suit. That's poor brand management. QV intends to balance the equation between buyers and suppliers. Our value added to buyers comes in the form of RFQ management tools (under development) and to suppliers - buyer discovery either by pay-per-lead (3%) or performance-based six-month subscription (1%). We're just getting started so RFQ volume is low, but it will pick up. |

| Matthew, I bet you wouldn't think you stumble upon someone who has tried your site on here, did you? I have to give you a vote of no confidence. I bid 2 jobs and a friend bid one. We both received zero feedback on our bids, and some minor questions. If the end customer only took 5 bids, I would think they would have time to respond to questions. |
