Hello, We are looking for a quote for quantity 3000 of 304/304L .1875"x.75" flat stock sheared to .875" long pieces. These are to be used as ballast(added weight) in an injection molded assembly. You provide the stock. Please let me know the length tolerance you can provide. (prefer +-.010") We are currently in devlopment of the product. There is potential for this to be a recurring order every 3 months and/or larger quantities. Thank you, Frank Rodgers zip code 93422 |

| Define sheared. Is saw cut and faced ok? If that can be done cheaply of course. Shipping price a definite concern, do you have a common carrier for shipping. I think I am only 300 miles away which would keep shipping costs low, but I have no shear, which would probably be the cheapest method of cutting these. Why 304 if this is just for adding weight? 1018 would be less than 1/2 price on material cost. |

| Hello, thanks for the replies. I have attached a drawing per request. As far as the material chosen. I need weight and corrosion/rust resistance. If you can suggest a different material which would handle mild exposure to moisture without possiblilty of rusting, I am open to suggestion. As far as the method of cutting these parts, I simply need the parts cut to the requested size. I also figured that shearing would be the most cost effective. Please send me a quote for whatever method you would use. The parts are hidden inside an assembly. I figured I would leave shipping out of the equation. If you would like to quote shipping, by all means do, but please have it seperated so that I can evalute the quotes per part. If I end up with a California supplier, I will most likely pick up the parts as my brother travels the state a fair amount. Thank you Frank Rodgers |

| I wanted to clarify that these pieces simply need to be cut to length. The method by which they are cut is not important. I would like to maintain + or - .010" on length. Thank you for the replies so far. Frank Rodgers Last edited by Toymanf; 10-30-2009 at 03:55 PM. |
