LOOKING FOR WORK

I have a small machine shop in North Hollywood California , One Fadal vmc40,
conven lathe, conven mill, small cnc lathe,couple chockers. No work for the
last 2 months; I will appreciate any help or sugestions,,,thanks,

I doubt anyone will let you in on their secret for finding work if there is one. Looks like you have about the same equipment list as mine. I used to sell my own products and did pretty well, but the industry I sold to has dried up and blown away, sales are now 2% of what they were 2 years ago, so now I am a job shopper and that sucks, internet bidding isn't the way to go either as almost
half the people are selling machine time for under $20 an hour. (The poll I posted confirmed this ) I have a few ideas about a few of us getting together
and trying something as a group. You are pretty local as I am out in Riverside,
if you would like to talk PM me.

I posted for an injection mold quote here and in RFQwork.com. Once I work that out I will be looking to have a few other parts made out of aluminum. I'll probably post them here and on RFQwork.com also.

It is too bad that Elance does have a section for manufacturing. They have Engineering & Manufacturing, but it is mostly design and prototype work. Check it out. I used it for logo creation and for my design and prototype work. I don't think they are as expensive as MFG.com or SourceAuthority.com to start up with.
