CNC -- Miscellaneous Text

Need a quote to CNC a series of 6 to 8 letter words in 1/8" Beechwood for casting. The text needs to be about 1/16" deep. The text will be inlayed into other 1/8" Beechwood. Font needs to be a wide body font, about 42 point type, rounded characters with beveled sides, upper and lower case. Explanation and example attached. I will supply wood and text.

Are you casting a name plate? I believe I can do this without you having to do the inlay, just make it all one solid piece. Send me the text and I will produce a sample picture. aminear at wyomingwireless.com

Thank You, aminear. No, not a nameplate. I am needing to inlay the text into both sides of a prototype horseshoe. I am attaching a typical sample of a font(s) that would work for this application. It is a wide body font with generally rounded shape. The second example would be preferred as each portion of each character is the same weight. Either a beveled cutter or rounded cutter would work. The depth should be about 1/16". As stated, I will provide 1/8" Beechwood along with a list of about 20 names, some repeated. Thank You.

Photon

If the material you provide is 1/16", I can cut border to border on 7.5 x 11.5 sheet. I can fit as many letters on the sheet as will fit depending on the height of the letters. I will cut these for $40/sheet.

This picture is a sample from my cutting software. I used Arial MT rounded font but I can do about any windows font available.

I can also leave miniature tabs .020 thick x .050 wide on the letters to hold everything together on the sheet, then all you have to do is cut the small tabs with an exacto knife.

Or if the lettering is to be inset/engraved into 1/8" material to depth of 1/16" I can do that also see second picture, same price/sheet.

If you need the letters laid out in an arc, I can do that too.

aminear...your second reversed bit map is perfect. I'll respond to you directly and place my order. Thank you, this has been a major problem solved. Regards...Bob
