I will program for you

All,
In today's economy I find myself needing additional income due to some things my employer has had to do to reduce operating costs. With that said I realize that maybe some companies out there have had to do the same and have reduced their programming staff. If you are looking for good programming and reasonable cost, please send me a private message.

I have 22 years experience. My rates are simple; $60 an hour with a one hour minimum. Pay me after you get you first article part off the machine. If I give you a quote it will never exceed the price quoted.

I am an honest guy just looking to make an honest buck. If you are not happy with my program, then you do not have to pay.

Buy me a Beer?

hey i love your post, but be careful. after all someone could hire you. And you tell them "oh yea 30 mins a part". when maybe in actuality its 32 mins. they claim not to be happy, so they don't pay you. when all in all the next fastest programmer said it will be an hr per part. just make sure you get paid at least %50 down. its great YOUR honest, but trust me thats a target for many others. Especially in this economy.

I get your point. I like to believe that most people are honest and want to do the right thing. I had ran with this a few years back and it worked out well. I had to stop because of the demands of my full time job. I even had one customer that insisted on paying me when I told him that the program was free.

This is pretty impressive. I am not posting to hire you but want to ask a question.

What Software are you using to program??
Mastercam, SurfCAM, Catia, Pro/E??

I hope you do get some side work. This economy is getting pretty bad in a lot of areas.

Good luck.

Cad/Cam

I use Mastercam, but have used Compact 2, really old Smartcam v3, Gibbs and Powermill. I am sure I have forgot one - been too long.

How do you deal with all the different types of machines and most of them requiring different posts to get the programs correct? Even most of the Fanucs require different posts. How do you go about getting the program into the machines? That part up to the Customer?

More than likely he gets a few pieces of info on the machine control, and edits the post processor to match the machine. This is not hard if you know what to change.

I try to use very generic post with nothing special. It will run and make their parts. It is up to the customer to get the program in the machine.
