| Some suggestions: You need to list tolerances. If the bore diameter has to be held particularly tight, it's different than just drilling. Does the outside (1") need to be finished or is the 'as wrought' mill finish acceptable? Ground finish is available but it seems to be about double the price. The 'mill finish' exterior can be turned but finish and tolerance need to be specified. Are you sure you want brass? It's pretty expensive as a material. There are a number of manufacturers that will make you custom aluminum extrusions. If the tolerances permit, you could buy the extrusion with the right inside and outside dimensions. While we're at it, McMaster sells brass tubing, 1" outside, 0.87" inside (very close to what you want), in precut, 12" lengths for $22 each: item 7782T271. If that's not what you're looking for, six-foot lengths of 1" round are $130 ($26 per part--you'll only get 5 parts per bar when saw kerf eats up some of the material). Costs are going to be high. Anyway, just some thoughts that others might need and some things you might consider to reduce the costs for yourself.
