Responsibilities:

Utilize solid modeling software for all CAD/CAM operations
Work in a concurrent design/manufacturing environment
Create electrode designs
Create NC tool paths for electrodes
Create NC tool paths for high speed machining
Prepare CAD files for mold design and NC programming
Provide documentation for NC tool paths to the tool room
Coordinate jobs with engineers, mold designers, and mold manufacturers
Assist in mold design and part design; attend redline meetings
Assist in file conversion
Archive CAD/CAM data and related documentation
Provide technical support for EDM and CNC processes


Qualifications:

Two-year degree in machine tool/mold making or related field; or equivalent mix of education and experience
Minimum of four (4) years experience using CAD/CAM software in a concurrent design and manufacturing environment
Minimum of four (4) years experience in CAD/CAM programming for a plastics injection molding company
PC – Microsoft Windows software, solid modeling software, and other office equipment
Strong computer knowledge
Strong knowledge of mold manufacturing
Ability to conceptualize and plan accordingly
Strong machining aptitude
Strong verbal and written communication skills to facilitate the sharing of information
Strong interpersonal skills
