For the Position: CNC SetUp Technician Level I

Shift: 3 shift operation (must be flexible)
Qualifications: · Five years of significant job-related experience
· Ability to set up and operate multiple types of CNC mills
· Basic blue print reading skills & general knowledge of shop math
· Basic CNC programming knowledge, capable of minor program
changes (editing)

Responsibilities: ¨ Set up and operate CNC machining centers
¨ Perform program changes (edit)
¨ Use basic inspection devices such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
¨ Trouble shoot machining center process, make machining center fixture changes or adjustments, and thoroughly document these actions
¨ Complete set up and run of “first offs” through QA approval
¨ Verify cutting tool conditions (cutting inserts, tool wear, etc.)
¨ Make tool and workshift offsets from CMM reports
¨ Basic machine preventive maintenance (filter changes, oil changes, coolant monitoring)
¨ Other duties as required
