Hi I am looking to get some quotes on how much it would cost get these machined. They are all sheet metal parts from 16ga 5052 aluminum sheet metal. I am looking for at least +/-.01" and preferably +/-.001" (if the cost is reasonable) on the parts. This is for a college project, so I need to keep the cost as low as possible. I am open to changing the design to lower cost/make things realistically makable, seeing as how this is my first real venture into metal part design. I need 5 sets made. I have my own break, so I am planning to bend them myself, but I do not have a mill (I nearly lost a thumb trying to cut out the circles on my drill press with an end mill). I attached the part files in a zip file. there are .igs files of the flat patterns and the SW part files. There is also an e-drawing for the robot the parts will be going into. Thanks!

| Ok. I made some pdf's. The dimensions are all in inches to the hundredth. The scale on the drawings is 1:1. Material can be either 3003 or 5052, don't care this thing has a huge over design factor already. Also, the link to the e-drawings viewer is: http://www.solidworks.com/pages/prod...gs/viewer.html

Hi, e-mail me at chris@donalmachine.com These are laser parts, not machined parts. We carry 5052 in stock. Very cost effective. Chris |

Send me your info and approx budget and I can get these machined fairly cheap + - .003 tolerance do you have the dwg or dxf files available contact me at ambrosefx@cox.netI have a small CNC that can handle 6.5" x 9.5" and I may have the material in stock. Is the alum. alloy critical or can it be unknown scrap stock? Bryan |
