Job Opening Senior Machinist Needed!! (Huntsville AL)

Our rapid growth has created opportunities for Senior Machinist technicians to support rocket propulsion hardware fabrication as well as system fabrication. Some hardware will be flight hardware and ground test articles. Other hardware will support testing and component assembly such as jigs and fixtures.


Description/Requirements
• Must be able to complete machining operations from drawings and/or verbal instructions
• Must have experience with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials
• Horizontal Mill experience preferred (but not required)
• 5 axis programming a plus
• CNC Lathe experience a plus
• Tube bending/Flaring/Welding
• Manual Machine shops skills such as manual lathes, Milling machines, welding, drilling, and traditional manual hand tools are essential
• 10 years machining experience desired
• Mastercam Experience is a plus
• Dynamic fast paced environment.
• Strong mechanical background
• Must have general mechanics tools
• Proficient in the use of various hand tools and equipment
• Proficiency in schematic/blueprint reading
• Ability to perform basic math functions, including decimals and fractions
• Use measuring tools, devices and equipment such as scales, calipers, micrometers
• Proficient in the use of fabrication equipment such as tube bender, flaring machine, flex hose swaging tool, vertical mill, lathe, drill press, metal shear, metal brake is a plus
• Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions
• Fabricate, assemble, install, and test aircraft systems hydraulic/pneumatic/oxygen/fuel/ plumbing/flight controls/landing gear) parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies with little or no supervision
• Perform duties in other skill areas such as electrical, composite and metal part fabrication as required.
• Instrumentation experience a plus
