| I.D. Grinding any body know of a shop that is capable of I.D. grinding diameters down to about .0720 and up to .1750 plus or minus .0005, concentricity and true position of plus or minus .0005 to the .7500 O.D, and holding a finish of #8 RMS minimum? the parts are called nest and are made of o-1 and d-2 tool steels that are hardened to a RC of 60-62. we are not satisfied with our current vendor's craftsmanship and are looking at the possibility of using someone else. if you know of some one that has this capablity let me know i may be able to help give you/them a small sample contract which could turn to larger ones after you prove your capabilites. the requirements listed above are a must and there are no acceptions. thanks jr |
