Aloha Everyone,
I just found out that my factory won't be able to turn around a prototype in time for a trade show in early April. This would be a one-off piece made from Damasteel - which is a damascus-like material. ( www.damasteel.se)
I have attached one page of PDF file which shows the basic case, with the tolerances (.05 MM linear; 0.5º angular) and I am happy to email to anyone interested the rest of the plans.
My understanding is that the Damasteel will work like any other 300-series stainless and whoever can do this will not have to handle the etching steps that develop the grain structure of the damascus - I will handle that. (Although if there's anyone out there who considers themselves a master of working with damascus, please feel free to drop me a line.)
Best way to contact me is here: info@bathyswatch.com
Many thanks from The Garden Island,
