RFQ Wood Engraving / Routing (poplar)

Hi everyone. Eventually I will buy a kit to build my own machine but right now its just too expensive for me. I am looking for someone, (preferably in the chicago area), that owns a cnc machine that can do some routing / engraving for me. This will be an ongoing project so I looking to build a business relationship i guess.

I have MULTIPLE designs, the are all very simple in nature but still i have about 20 of them. To start it will be one main very basic design. I will need a run of 10. The wood I have selected is 1" thick poplar. Im looking for someone in the chicago area just incase I need them quick. But I will do shipping back and forth if the price is right.

I will send you the design if youre interested.
Basically its a 10" circle with a design in the center. Very simple, primary shapes. routed about 1/4" into the wood.

We would be very interested in looking at your project. We have a large 5-axis router in which we could possbly machine them all at the same time. We also have numerous smaller CNC mills that would do the trick. We have many other customers in the Chicago area so getting your parts to you would not be a problem.

Have you considered having them laser engraved/carved? I have a CO2 laser with a 12"x16" table that I'm trying to find work for. Sounds like it might fill your needs. lasering sounds expensive. Keep in mind that im just a guy with an idea. I cant sell what im making for more than $35 each, and i still have to buy hardware, paint, and other things to finish the project im working on.

It's comparable if not cheaper than a full blown CNC router. You get much finer detail than a router and they're pretty quick too. I was suprised when I saw one run. Like I said, it's a new machine for me and I'm trying to find work to keep it busy. If you're interested I'll take a look at what you have.
