Thank you for your reply, ... I don't know what "Marine" wood is, but if it is 'similar to plywood' it would not be acceptable.

As for the matter of sharp corners, ... 'radius' corners would be more than acceptable.

thanks for the advice, I will make a note of that

Sorry about the additional inside-lines, please only use the perimeter (outer-outline) lines.

The 100 set order is very basic; by the time we graduate to 10,000 sets we will be extremely detailed, but not at this point.

Thanks for the consideration.

After looking at the pieces, is there any reason that most of them could not be profiled into long boards with a moulder and cut off to length.
The grain would be different but would this matter. There would be a small amount of lathe work.
Just a suggestion.

Actually, something to that effect was mentioned in my 'pre-quote' discussion thread. The issue was the price of the blade(s).

As long as the pieces are uniformed, look good, and are strong we will consider any suggestion.

I invite you to submit a bid.

With regard to the second point, although we are open to any material (wood, stone, clay, urethane (is that plastic?),) we figured wood would generate us a very good looking product, a very fast turnaround, low upfront costs, and a very durable product.

Plastic injection molding will eventually be one whole aspect of the game's production, however only after we have gauaged market demand on a few levels.

We would welcome your quote for this job in 'urethane'.

i can help you out if you want it as plastic injected parts.
i can make you the mold design for this stuff.

there are two steps for us to complete before we graduate to molds:
1) 100 wood sets of general design, [this RFQ]
2) 1000 wood sets of refined design. [next RFQ]

Thanks to all for your attention to this matter, although we only received one quote we hope one is enough. The company isn't enthused about only having one quote, but I'm the one doing all of the leg work.

Anyway, this is the formal notice post to indicate that the bidding for this RFQ has ended.

I'll continue to accept emails for injection molding inquires.
