Wanted, small runs: Engine Valves

Wanted shop that is up to date with automotive stainless steel valves and can help with designing a new kind of engine valve and willing to be a long term deal doing small runs of 40 valves at a time.

Non Disclosures and non computation agreements will be needed.

Not spec, payment will be done on parts.

My problem is finding shops able to do this work and WILLING to put up with the small short runs.

Call Manley. They did custom and prototype valve work at one time. Not cheap but good, American made parts.

You can also call Rev or Ferrea. They have valve cores that can be made to many sizes on request. Parts are imported from South America as i recall but of impecable quality.

Machining valve heads is the easy part. Getting grooves machined properly and chatter free and/or the tips ground square is the hard part.

We can help do the engineering, provide tolerance info and provide production level valve drawings on a consulting basis. We did that sort of stuff for a noted aftermarket supplier of race valves and pistons for a number of years before the division was sold off and closed down.
