| My CNC mill programing is specialized in Solid Works images and it's “for hire” Are you in a pinch? Need programming done but you can’t tie up your resources? I’m offering my 25 years of programming experience and my state of the art software up to lend a hand. I can program in full 3D and work off of just a Solid Works image with no prints. I’ll generate a program for virtually any CNC mill code ever made. Plus my vast experience (30 years) in metallurgy means my programs will always be within 5% max performance. Can also help you out in turn work too. All done over just the internet if needed! So the question was;Are you looking for a hired gun? Because if you are,,, then this is the right place for you to be. “They’re all in this thread!” All freelance programmers. Happy hunting! Last edited by Big Daddy; 05-17-2007 at 11:58 AM. |

| It’s based solely on the complexity of the job. Most of my programming only takes about 15 minutes on average so that I’d only ask for a cheap flat rate but for really involved items it will have to be a reasonable hourly thing. The key work is reasonable. I don’t believe in gouging anybody, that’s just not cool. |

LIKE j-radkemachine & billystein ASKED: """PRICING? HOURLY RATE?""" Why would I hire anyone for a job without knowing what I am getting charged UP FRONT?????? ONCE AGAIN WE ASK::: """PRICING? HOURLY RATE?""" :::

| Don't you get it? You tell me your Hourly rate, I look @ my job, I send it to you, you give me a price I compare it to how long it'd take me, I TELL YOU TO TAKE A HIKE OR GIVE YOU BUSINESS! THAT'S CALLED "LOOKING OUT FOR NUMERO UNO," " ME" Seems to me you are doing your QUOTING on the fly my friend!!!

| Why do you need to know someone's hourly rate? If the price they charge is less than it will cost anywhere else for the same quality isn't that what is important Precisely. Nothing wrong with Big Daddy's methods, "You show me a job,,,,, & I show you a price!! |

| A side comment..... For those of us trying to design parts and price out what they would cost, "show me the job and I'll show you a price" is of limited value. I understand the need to see a part before quoting, but that's alot of back and forth. I suggest that you (Big Daddy) post some examples of your work and the rough cost of each to give people an example of what your ballpark prices and capabilities are. -Jeff
