would like to receive cad files. please email to gshipley@satx.rr.com. thanks
I am looking for quotes on two things
1) Carbon fiber cutting. This is a smaller part can be cut any way however i need about a .05 inch accuracy. I have a dxf cad file ready to be sent.
2) Lath work...this is a design in progress and not yet ready, nothing too complicated just looking for prices for work per hour.
Also i do not know where to post this, so i will ask here. The part i need made with a lathe is going to be a part that's principle function is to be impactive. Im not quite sure about the actual amount of force that it hits however the gas driving the part is at a pressure of 80 psi. The lighter this part the better however the material it is made of must also be able to withstand the impact repeatedly (over 60,000 at least) without serious deformation...slight dimpling may form at the point of contact with a pin however it must not exceed 1/4mm.
Any suggestions as to a material? The two common materials for this part are aluminum and titanium (alloys of course not pure). I have not been able to find out the exact alloy commonly used... So im going to just throw it out there as to any suggestions. Light and strong is what i need.

AMW just wondering what kind of files can you recieve? I use inventor 11 which uses its on weird file system, just wondering if you'd rather have a drawing with dimensions or just a workable file
Both would be great, just in case one doesn't work the other one might!
