Hi folks,I need a topo model carved by CNC in polyurethane foam (roughly 4" deep, and 1/4 of a circle with a radius of 5.5' (imagine a big pie, and what a quarter of that would look like.) I've got topo maps, and drawings. Anybody fairly local to either of those locations considered. Thanks! Patrick mctoxey@hotmail.com |

| Okay, Local isn't so important to me but I'm trying to keep costs down and shipping these days is getting expensive. If you can send me your email address I'll send you a topo drawing. I'm looking at 10lb polyurethane foam but will consider other materials. Would you like to quote? Please send me your email. Thanks! Patrick |

| I'm in San Antonio. shoot me a message, the best way to do it is download the city DTM (digital terain model), then create your surface in Autocadd Land desktop, then export the file. I did this for the UIW University when we did a dorm project for them. BTW, I work for Civil Engineering and Land Surveying company. Joe |

| Hi Joe, Call me please (210) 225-7066. I can send you a topo map by email (about 4MB). I'm looking at a vertical scale of 1" = 200', thus the model could be cut from a 4" x 48"x96" block of foam. I'm considering using General Plastics FR-7100 12lb rigid open cell polyurethane. http://www.generalplastics.com/produ...il.php?pid=19& Does that work for you? |

| Patrick, We have done several large topography models as well but we are in Ohio. If you need more quotes, please send me the data also.

| here is the google earth of the area, also as you know it falls on 4 quad maps, which mean 4 different DEM's i have downloaded them and will generate a surface from the DEM's to see what type of terrain we get. Joe Last edited by joecnc2006; 04-09-2007 at 05:29 PM. |

| Hey Joe, What software are you using to generate the terrain from the DEM ? I've been messing with the free version of BlackArts but am not sure if it will do want I need, unless I pay for the full version. Thanks, Todd http://www.innovative-accents.com |
