I'm not quite sure how many of these I'd need done. Depends alot on how many people would be interested, and how much they'd cost. I can't seem to find a way to host the Cad file... here's a link to a page that already has it on there. http://www.haveblue.org/tech/automag/index.html It's at the bottom of the page, tilted ".dwg of sluggo body". And before anyone asks, no I didn't make the Cad file myself, and yes it is okay for me to have these made. The company has quit producing them, and no longer cares. |

| If you want 1, 10, or 100 the price would be fairly high but, if you wanted say 10,000 units per month for a couple of years then they could be done fairly cheep because I could use different manufacturing techniques that are ment for high volume production. The easy way to do this dance is for you to determin the target price the maket will support and I'll see if I can develope a prosses that will meet that target price. PM me with your thoughts if you like. merl |

| This brings up an interesting discussion. If the design of these parts is not patented isn't it available for anyone to produce? The first thing I would check on is patent protections, and whether they have maintained the patent fees. If they have then you have to get permission to sell such items. If they have not paid the patent maintenance fees, then it is my understanding that it's anyone's ballgame. I hope someone with first hand knowledge of this will comment on this, I have come into this situation several times but never have gotten a clear answer. Jim

| Jim brings up a good point about whether these are available to produce. If it is not patented, good, but the design may still be copyrighted or trademarked. If that is the case, and the company is not currently defending the copyright or trademark, it is legal to produce. However, I would be reluctant to directly use their CAD. I would be more comfortable redrawing it, even if it is a copy of their CAD. On a side note, are you still looking for someone to manufacture these? Fegenbush |

| good luck from a fellow paintballer =). To my knowledge i dont know if any paintball company patents/trademarks/copyrights their body's. They do patent their valve/bolt/internal pieces ...and i have seen pat. pending on frames however never on bodies themselves....dont know if thats any help This is of course only from experiences with Dye Bob Long Eclipse Mac dev Smart Parts I have never ever owned a mag (agd markers) or worked on them so I dont have any first hand experience. Also from discussion on pbn (copying bodies is a very popular topic) it seems to be in agreement that as long as you copy for personal use you're ok. However this brings up this hazy part as to what happens if you PAY somebody else to copy it If you make one body, then delete the cad files...how will they every find out? |

| WGP must have some kind of patent on the autococker body because the sued AKA for coping it a couple years back, but I don't know what happened with that. There is a reason agp went out of business, there guns got past by newer and better tech. |

| i didnt know that aka made cockers. If you ask me it would be hard to sue for a body...especially since most are just made from blocks with 2 holes and some threading...though i guess for mags it would just be one hole lol |

| ya in the late 90's AKA made a low pressure body for the autococker. up until then you could by every part for an autococker aftermarket except for the body. You could buy the bodies straight from them or from a store called Splat Attack in Seattle. Splat Attack used the bodies in their Revenge series of Autocockers. That pissed WGP off because people where making money off the autococker design without giveing anything to them. I think Splat Attack and AKA won the law suite because the bodies where just diffrent enough. |

| i want to get in on this. First off, I think its awesome you are making automag bodies, automags are some of the nicest guns out there. Second: only company I would worry about getting sued by is smartparts |
