RFQ -- Need help with CAD Drawing & G-Code...

    Hello,

I'm very new to CAD and CNC machines and I need help with making some CAD drawings and G-Code for mandolin parts. If anyone can help me out, I'd be more than happy to pay for your services. I have exact blueprints for what I want to do. Please email me at jsnbrgg@yahoo.com

    Thanks!
    Jason

Sorry, got no G Code for that stuff, however, the site below is awesome for all musical instrument manufacturing/ maintenance.. the guy is a blinking genius, you might want to check it out (the mandolin bit is about 3/4 way down).

I love deadlines- I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

I'll help. What do you need. Send me some drawings and I help you switch them over so you can use them. gsilberberg@progressive-plastics.net

Thanks for the quick replies so far!

Most of you seem to be emailing me with the same question, so I'll answer that one on here.. The plans that I have are drawn to scale, but they are on sheets of paper larger than I can scan. So would you have to have them in digital format, or could I just mail you the plans? Also I have a few customizations I would like to make to the plans that would need to be drawn in when they are put into CAD.

In my limited knowledge, I'm wondering if it is possible to take a digital picture of the plans and then use that to convert to CAD? Or would the varied angle of the camera and distance from the paper cause problems with the measurements?

    Thanks!
    Jason

Electronic format would be the quickest to convert to g-code. A digital camera would be fine for quoting purposes but not for the drawings - only a full scale scan would be accurate enough. Anything can be drawn on CAD but it takes time and money. What is your budget and timeframe? I am potentially able to do both for you? PM me with your info and a picture(s) of the drawings, if you'd like.
I don't know much about anything but I know a little about everything....

I would love to get my hands on them. I have solidworks here and surfcam so i can take your drawings and turn them into a 3D model and then take it into my cam software and pop you out a g code for the machine let me know
