Medical/Aerospace/Cryogenics shop has an open position on 1st shift for a machinist. The candidate will be working under me in the R&D/Tooling-Fixture department. Major duties include tooling/fixture making, proving out programs for new & retooled jobs and documentation of those processes. There is some CNC production work for the new and retooled jobs until they get released to production.
This is a position for a machinist with cnc experience, not a cnc operator/cnc “machinist”. Although most of the milling will be done on a Shizouka B10 w/Fanuc 6M and Okuma MB46/56 VMCs w/OSP P100M, we have a Lagun manual milling machine that the candidate must be at home with. Candidate must have conventional lathe skills. Candidate will also need grinding skills (off-hand, surface grinding).
