Hi 9xnet,

This part looks like it would be a good candidate for 3D Printing. You can get a part like this made and shipped out to you within 2-3 days that would be suitable for test fitting to refine your design. The parts can even be printed in color! See www.touchstone3D.com and www.zcorp.com

The down side is, 3D printing is much like Stereolitography in that depending on the application, you can't directly use the part long term due to limited durability. We can help with that by producing a rubber mold using your 3D printed part as a master model. We then replicate your bezel by casting using Urethane thermoset plastic with ABS like properties. This is also a quick way to get into limited production while waiting for injection molding tooling to be made.

In many cases, these parts are much more cost effective than having a part machined from ABS stock due to savings in labor an material costs. The other key advantage to this route is that more bezels can easily be cast from the same mold at a fraction of the cost of machining them. If you are looking at doing more than one of these, or you plan to make these using an injection molding process once perfected, this will definitely save you time and money.
