RFQ: Aluminum Turning

Hi,

I have had to site bookmarked for awhile now and would like to see how it works. This is for a brand new machine design. The picture was taken from our first prototype.

If it works out well, there will be alot more work to follow of various pieces (Turning, Milling, Sheet Metal).

I need to make the filter shown below. We need Qty 2 of the aluminum piece and Qty 1 of the clear plastic.

I put a McMaster p/n on the plastic, but any equivalent will do. The type of Aluminum is not critical.

Yearly quantity of this part is estimated at 30 to 40 pieces. If this works out, we can do a batch order for the next run.

I want to thank everyone who quoted on the filter housing. Even though I want to keep the filter housing with one supplier, there are still several machined parts left to order.

I will be contacting everyone thru this next week with possible components they may be interested in.

I am very impressed by this website and refuse to 'off shore' any single component. I designed similar machines at my last 'job' and the whole d@mn thing was farmed out to Taiwan. Never again and that has been my motivation to do it my way this time and be in control of our own destiny with myself and two former employees.
