    CNC Machinist/Programmer - Tucson, AZ

    Acrylic Idea Factory is the leading manufacturer of acrylic products, specializing in production for the awards and advertising specialty industries. For decades, we have provided the best products, service, and value to our customers and we are looking for the best candidate to fill our CNC Machinist/Programmer position.

    Full-time position starting immediately.

    This is an opportunity to create programming and set-ups of unique parts as well as design new products. On short runs we may expect the machinist to finish parts. On long runs, we will have you train an operator to take over after first piece inspection. Machinist must be able to communicate necessary information to ensure a smooth transition.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 5 years CNC programming and machining experience - preferrably Haas
    • Must be fully skilled in BobCad, Mastercam or equivalent
    • Experience with machining of cast acrylic plastic preferred but not mandatory
    • Ability to setup, trouble-shoot, & work with minimal supervision
    • Extensive knowledge of machining strategies, workpiece and machine setup, cutting tools, 4th axis
    • Be able to work from sample spec parts, creating efficient programs and fixturing
    • Ability to inspect workpiece & qualify first article
    • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements & troubleshooting problems
    • Own some necessary tools & measuring instruments
    • Able to train and work well with others
    • Bilingual a plus!
