    RFQ - sheet metal (water jet?) with some bending

    Hi guys;

    we're looking for 6 of this part, a bracket for mounting electronics on the back of a video monitor. It's about 9.2"x6.3" with 6 holes, cut from flat stock, with some finish bending. It's an ideal part for someone with a water-jet or similar machine looking for some extra piece work.

    Part Description: Monitor bracket ( see file m_brckt.dxf )

    Quantity: 6

    Material: Aluminum or steel, .070 to .100 thick, alloy not critical, but the two ears of the bracket will be bent up at 90 degrees (to attach a handle between them) so a material that will survive that bending is necessary. You supply the material.

    Edges: approximately square edges, some tool marks from cutting are OK, so long there are no big gouges. Break or deburr all edges, particularly the long ourtside edges. The holes do not need to be deburred, so long as they don't have sharp protruding edges.

    Finish: A quick scotchbrite pass is ideal, but any bright, clean shop type finish is OK. These parts will eventually be anodized black ( if aluminum ), or painted black (if steel ), and if your shop is set up for that, please include a bid for the anodizing or painting.

    Delivery: would like 3 weeks, 4 weeks max.

    Hi Guys;

    Just wanted to let everybody know that we got our vendor for these.

    Thanks to everyone for their prompt replies.

    I hadn't tried posting an RFQ on CNCzone before, and I was really impressed with the speed that all you guys got back to me with very competitive bids.

    We have a bunch of similar parts coming down the pike in the future (we do a lot of these little runs) and I'll e-mail you our files files when things like this come up.

    - Steve
