    JOB POSTING - Head CNC Machinist - Northwest Houston

    We are seeking an experienced, highly skilled machinist with the ability to program G-Code Fanuc, setup CNC lathes/mills as well as manual machines in our job shop in Northwest Houston. Candidate shall have the ability and attitude required to perform tasks ranging from CNC programming to completing menial cleanup duties including but not limited to sweeping/mopping the floor and unclogging a toilet if necessary.

    This is a position that will be filled immediately. Prerequisites include at least a high school diploma or GED, at least 5 years experience as a machinist/CNC programmer. Trade school is a plus, but experience and ability can offset the lack of formal education for this position.

    We have a wide range of machinery from state of the art multitasking machines to the cam driven screw machines of the 1950's. Knowledge of all is not required, however the ability to transition from one to the other is a must.

    Applicant must me proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments typical to the trade. Must have the ability to produce and inspect high tolerance parts ranging from simple to complicated machined parts.

    Applicant must be willing and able to not only setup machinery but also run machinery, inspect and oversee production of multiple machines as well as perform deburr and shipping/receiving duties.

    We manufacture primarily small precision parts at medium to high quantities.

    Our entire manufacturing facility is air conditioned. We offer top pay based on skill, experience and responsibility. This position will start from $20-$25 per hour with 40+ hours a week. Lunch breaks are optional up to 30 minutes max. Overtime will be on an as needed basis.

    Our hours of operation are from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM during the week, this job will be scheduled to accumulate the 40 hours a week within that timeframe.

    The ideal candidate will be extremely reliable, punctual, professional with the ability to communicate verbally as well as written. Basic computer skills are a must. Must be able to adapt and be willing to perform a wide range of job responsibilities in a small shop environment.

    Sorry, but $25 per hour is not top pay. It is good pay for someone with 5 years of experience though.

    That is a starting point. A machinist who can run the shop at close to its full potential will make considerably more once a pattern is established. Are you interested or know someone who may be?
