I am located half way between Maricopa and Casa Grande, just 1/2 hour drive south of Phoenix, Arizona. I have a small business with the tools to do light machining and manufacturing.
I need an experienced machinist to help me complete a project involving drilling of over 1000 precut tubes. The accuracy needs to be centered through holes with .01 tolerance from the plans. Most of the holes are in line on the same piece, but some will require 90 degree rotation. The material will be 1" 6061-T6 or 4130 thin wall (0.058") tubing, 2" thin wall (0.058") 6061-T6 tubes, or 7/8" thick wall (0.120") aluminum tubing.
Here is what I seek from a qualified person:
-Willing to begin after Dec 9th. I can work around your schedule.
-Experience and know how in accurate drilling of tubing
-Experience and skill to build jigs for accuracy and repeatability
-Experience with methods of deburring
-Someone that is careful and respectful with others tools and stuff
-Neat with their workspace and perform regular cleanup as needed
-A good work ethic and takes pride in their quality
-Enjoys working in a relaxed atmosphere
-Can tolerate music while working
-Can tolerate the friendly shop dog
-Is up for a game of ping pong (there is one in the shop) during breaks
I suggest we begin with an hourly rate. I will pay cash at the end of each day's work. I also provide sodas, sports drinks, and snacks.
I have all the material pre-cut to exact sizes. I have all tools (drill/mill, drill bits, saws, etc) to complete this project. If any additional tools or materials are needed, I will purchase them as requested.
Thanks in advance.
