Our Client, an AS9100 approved manufacturer of aerospace and land-based gas turbine engine components is seeking CNC/Unigraphics Programmers to create programs for CNC lathes, VTL’s and CNC multi-axis milling machines using Unigraphics NX6 programming language. Successful candidates will possess:
Five years progressive experience as a programmer in aeronautic or aerospace environment
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or math
Capability of programming 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centers (including vertical and horizontal turning centers)
Ability to create detailed set up and tool sheets in Unigraphics NX6
Skills necessary to develop programs and documentation for manufacture of turbine components and related parts
A cooperative attitude to work closely with manufacturing personnel in a team environment and resolve shop floor manufacturing issues
Skills necessary to specify cutting tools and work with suppliers to obtain the proper tools for specific work to be performed.
A thorough understanding of speeds and feeds for aerospace materials and ability to adjust calculations for specific materials
Proficiency in Unigraphics NX6 with the ability to write complex programs with minimal error
Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work with minimal supervision

• They manufacture things like Turbines cases and Fan case assembly.

• The average size of their parts are 60-70 inches, the largest would be 130 inches and the smallest 20 inches.

• The hours are usually 7 – 5:30 PM but they do have some flexibility
