About the Opportunity
Garrtech has a unique opportunity for a CNC Set Up/Machinist to join it's growing team in Stoney Creek, Ontario.
Performing machining based on production and engineering drawings, the CNC Machinist will chiefly be responsible for operating and setting up CNC equipment. You will also be required to provide first off inspection reports to Quality Control.
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
* Five years experience in Five Axis Machining;
* Full understanding of Fanuc or Heindenhain Controls;
* Capable of completing own set-ups on machines;
* Ability to run two machines simultaneously; and
* Ability to read and modify CNC programs.
Ideally you will have experience with CNC Mill/Turn machining and be able to write CNC programs in UG NX 7.5, Powermill, or Lemoine.
Importantly, you will have a strong work ethic, with outstanding communication and trouble-shooting skills.
