CNC Wood Machinist Job in Suffolk

CNC Wood Machinist able to machine various components in timber and plastic sheet.

The role requires setting up the machines; making sure the right cutters are used and working to and achieving production and quality targets.

You will need to have experience with SCM Pratix and SCM Record machines, running Xilog software.

Previous experience of working with dim saws and swan neck routers would be an advantage as well as edge banding knowledge.

Standard hours of work are 40 per week 8:00am to 5:00pm (Monday to Thursday), 8:00am to 1:00pm (Friday), but will require you to work shifts when work load demands.

Batch sizes vary from 1 off to 1000 with cycle times up to 2 hours for longer production runs. Working as part of a small dedicated CNC team the pay rate for this Permanent Vacancy is from £10.00 plus Night shift premium when worked at x1.5
